Simply Easter

Hello to all my bloggy friends
Wow I would never have thought I'd have 15 followers. *tee hee hee*
I feel honored to have you sharing in my creative adventure.

Today's card started out as a background card for yesterday's basket card but I just couldn't cover up all those beautiful butterflies. Then I simply added the decorated eggs and grass.

One of the tiny embossed dots flowing behind the butterflies had come off when it went through my Cuttlebug leaving a small white spot on that shiny blue background.
I thought to myself  *what to do? what to do?*
And of course my rhinestones had the answer for me.
I covered that old white spot right up and then added a sprinkling of other reinstones all around.

Enjoy and get creative!

Hugs and Kisses to you

Sending You Hugs and Kisses!
Just a quick post today since it is getting so late.
I apologize! (This 20 day cold has slowed me down a lot.)

I'd like to welcome my readers today and look I have 3 followers. lol

*My card is 5.5 x 4.24 in.
*The next red layer is 5.25 x 4 in. I embossed it using the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots folder.
*I cut the Hugs and Kisses in white from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge at 4.0 in. then added some black faux stitching. Its black heart layer is also done at 4.0 in.
*The Xs & Os are from Cricut Craft Room Basics but any X & O will work.

It is a simple, to the point kind of card.

Have a super Sunday everyone.
See you soon.

Welcome to my very first blog post ever!

I made this 5 x 7 Easter basket shaped card to enter into a card contest at one of my local craft stores.

I used the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge for the basket, bunny, butterfly and eggs.

*Using the Cricut Craft Room online design program I welded the basket together at the top to create my card base. I cut a separate basket for the card front and embossed it using my Cuttlebug Oriental Weave folder.
*Using Cricut Craft Room (CCR) I hid the face and other cut features leaving the middle of the ear cuts which I backed with purple paper. I stamped his little face using my Peachy Keen Critter Faces stamp set. I filled in the whites of his eyes with my Gelly Roll white pen.
*I cut out three eggs and decorated them with glittery ribbon and reinstones.
*I cut out the butterfly and added him to the basket handle.

I used the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge to create the 3D flowers and leaves

I stamped Happy Easter and added it to a tiny tag. I hung the tag on with twine.

It is hard to tell from the picture but the bunny, flowers, leaves, eggs, tag and butterfly are all cut from Colorbok pearlescent paper so they have a pearly shine to them.
(***I promise to strive to improve my picture quality in the future.***)
